Business Development Manager - San Carlos, CA

The Business Development Manager at Luidia is responsible for both new revenue generation and partner management. This hire will identify, negotiate and close long-term, complex partner transactions, as well as manage some of the ongoing relationships between the company and key strategic partners. S/he will build significant new revenue by creatively applying strategies including resale, VAR, integration, and bundling. The position presents a unique opportunity to have a significant impact on the success of an early stage growth company.

This is a highly visible role within a new business development group at Luidia. Besides strong analytical, sales and closing skills, the position requires a solid business understanding, the ability to think creatively while maintaining an operational focus, effective communications skills (both oral and written), the ability to quickly validate opportunities and interpret customer needs, and an unwavering drive for personal and company success. Integrity in all business dealings is essential. 

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in high-tech industry business development.
  • Experience successfully introducing technology products to new markets.
  • Demonstrated ability closing high-value deals and simultaneously managing multiple projects. 
  • Ability to blend technology vision and business strategy to identify new partner opportunities.
  • Articulate and persuasive with well-developed people skills, comfortable presenting to senior managers and C-level executives.
  • Ability to quickly assimilate complex product information and convert it to productive output.
  • Motivated independent contributor with high energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the business.
  • Ability to set and manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic working environment
  • Excellent team building skills both with internal and customer cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor degree.
