OEM Sales Manager - San Carlos, CA

Luidia’s OEM relationships are vital to the Company’s revenue and growth strategies. The OEM Sales Manager will be responsible for accelerating Company sales by cultivating current OEMs, opening opportunities with new OEMs and guiding account development for strategic customers in a wide range of markets. Potential markets include education, hardware & software, audio-visual, office products, and computers & peripherals. Responsibilities include determining successful go to market strategies, identifying appropriate target customers, and closing deals directly. This is a sales position and the successful candidate will have demonstrated success in both tactical and strategic selling.

This position reports to the Director of OEM Sales and is a highly visible role. Besides strong sales skills, the position requires a solid business understanding, tactical and strategic thinking, effective communications skills (both oral and written communications), an uncanny ability to validate opportunities and interpret customer needs, and an unwavering drive for success. Integrity is also of the utmost importance. 

The OEM Sales Manager will be considered successful at the end of the first year if: 

  • The Company has achieved strong sales growth directly attributable to the individual. 
  • Monthly backlog has increased and revenue predictability enhanced. 
  • New OEM partnerships are in place and additional opportunities are in progress. 
  • Company margin goals have been met. 
  • The individual has become an indispensable member of the team. 

The successful candidate will be selected based on the following criteria: 

  • Minimum 6 years combined experience in sales, business development and sales management. Recent product sales experience in one or more of the following required: computer hardware, software or solutions, computer peripherals, digital projectors, and flat panel displays. 
  • Proven track record with increasing level of success. 
  • Ability to identify opportunity and develop business case around it. 
  • Demonstrated ability to penetrate accounts and partners, navigate customer / partner organizations, get buy in at all necessary levels and departments, negotiate contracts, and close deals is a must. 
  • Experience with and understanding of interactive display technology and solutions highly desirable. 
  • Experience with technology sales to OEM customers is a must. 
  • Start up and larger company successful experience: Demonstrated ability to operate in a hands-on, fast-paced environment and successfully grow with the organization while delivering on commitments.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, including excellent presentation skills. Must be proficient in English. 
  • Strong, disciplined, highly motivated, results oriented individual who is an effective motivator and linear thinker. Ability to distill key information from a situation and act accordingly. 
  • Willingness and ability to travel extensively, if needed. 
  • Inspires confidence from all constituents (Company, customers, etc.) 
  • Must be a team player of unquestionable integrity. 
  • Bachelor degree.
