Internet System & Application Senior Architect

Job Description:
Lead planning, design and development of the core technology, platform and architecture of world-wide e-commerce applications and solutions.
Play a vital and strategic role in developing our next-generation e-commerce platform.
Proactively identify and synthesize technology needs, define technology solution initiatives, and lead the implementation and execution.
Guide internal and external technology interaction and facilitate technology innovation.
Lead technology evaluation and solution prototyping.
Characterize and drive the company technology standards and best practices.
Head the company technology training, develop core technology talents.

Job Requirement:
Over 3+ years experience in leading platform and architecture teams or projects.
Over 5+ years experience in platform and architecture design and core technology R&D. Hands-on experience building large-scale systems (web-based system preferred).
Comprehensive technical background, acquainted with internet technologies. Extensive knowledge and practice in one or more of the following areas: large-scale distributed systems, open platform architecture (Java platform preferred), search engine, mobile technology, security, system and network, capacity planning.
Exposure to project management, well-versed in software engineering methodology and modeling.
Distinct passion and demonstrated ability in problem solving and efficiency improvement through proper technology solutions.
Concrete ability and experience in evaluating and selecting technology solutions from various sources.
Experience in systematically establishing and implementing technology standards.
Acute knowledge of business and technology, with excellent understanding of industry trends and technology evolution.
Results driven and able to thrive in the face of challenges.
Bachelor’s and above in Computer or related discipline.
Ability to speak Mandarin is a plus.
Relocation to China, optional.
