Senior Software Engineer

Description:
We're looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer to design and develop features for our web-based applications as part of an interfacing, fast-paced team. As a member of the core development team, you would own the design and development of crucial features of one of our applications, including:

  • Interfacing with product management, QA engineers, and professional services staff to determine requirements.
  • Designing and developing the solutions.
  • Writing unit tests and performance tests to support uninterrupted verification of correct system behavior. 

We use Agile programming techniques, such as test-driven development, uninterrupted integration and testing, and story-based iterative development to build better software. We have a work environment that inspires individual initiative, experiments with new ideas for continuous improvement, and lets great people do excellent work by minimizing the hassles of hierarchy and bureaucracy.

A successful applicant will have a Masters Degree in CS or related engineering degree from a top school. 5+ years of hands-on experience using Java to develop large software products in a team environment
This person must be a self-starter and must be able to function with minimal supervision while working in a multifaceted team environment following Agile processes for software development. Aside from strong overall experience using Java, we value superb engineering talent more than experience in any specific technology. We are looking for well-rounded engineers with very solid problem-solving skills, passion for taking ownership of features, a desire to be hands-on in writing code, and a commitment to quality.
