Senior/Lead Web Engineer - JavaScript

We are a startup located right here in the beautiful Bay Area. We have built a unique site to help travelers plan their trips. We are in need of a Lead Web Software Engineering dynamo. This individual will need to be a have exceptional expertise in JavaScript based web interfaces. 
Responsibilities

  • Create an exceedingly intuitive and polished UI for our service
  • Design, create and maintain web applications
  • Offer technical insight during product planning and development
  • Collaborate with our server side development team to design API’s and interactions
  • Provide advanced JavaScript and CSS guidance to junior developers
  • Complete thorough debugging of web functionality across multiple browsers
  • Ensure optimal site performance for remote browsers

Requirements

  • 2+ years experience developing dynamic, consumer web interfaces
  • Vast experience with XHTML semantics and table-less layout with CSS
  • Functional knowledge of JavaScript and debugging tools
  • Highly accomplished using Java Server Pages (JSP)
  • Understanding of Object Oriented Programming 
  • Passion for creating cutting edge UI’s that people love.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
  • Self-starter who flourishes under pressure and can handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Superb communication skills and a love for collaboration and team work
  • Bachelors degree in CS, or related field

Desired Qualifications

  • Knowledge of JavaScript frameworks (i.e. jMaki or Prototype.js)
  • Experience using JSON, JSF, Shale, Facebook API
