Senior Software Engineer - Web Services

Design a cloud service to help enhance our technology offering. The service has to be high performance, scalable, and highly available to meet an ever-growing install base. This is going to be a critical part of our Security offering.

Duties: 

  • Participate in architecture and design of the service with performance, scalability and high availability in mind. 
  • Design and implement the service
  • Integration on our appliance
  • Identify and leverage common components/services 
  • Work with Ops on service deployment

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience building scalable services
  • 7+ years of Java Development 
  • Web Services (SOAP, RESTful, or JAX-RS)
  • Web Servers and HTTP
  • Agile/Scrum and test driven development process
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Knowledge of Machine Learning 
  • Weka a plus
  • Hadoop a plus
  • SMTP and MTA a plus.

Education:

  • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
