Director of Firmware Engineering - San Carlos, CA 

This position is for a seasoned developer who has a strong background in system integration of hardware and software. The candidate should have a proven track record in team building and management. 

Duties:

  • Manage and coordinate the efforts of firmware team, including research development and implementation of new technologies in an embedded environment. 
  • Work with Product Planning and Design teams on product specifications. 
  • Develop technology roadmap for current and new product platforms. Represent engineering team in meetings with customers and vendors. 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 
  • 12+ years experience with hardware, software, and/or firmware development. 
  • 5+ years experience managing systems integration at team or department level. 
  • Experience in systems integration of software and digital and analog hardware. 
  • Experience in DSP andor embedded system development. 
  • Ability to learn new skills as part of ongoing research and development 
  • Strong attention to details, dedication to quality 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills 

Additional Helpful Background:

  • Experience firmware development for in Audio and/or Video systems.
  • Experience with TI 550 XX family
