Senior Business Development Manager - San Carlos, CA

Position

The Senior Business Development Manager is responsible for both new revenue generation and partner management. This hire will identify, negotiate and close long-term, complex partner transactions, as well as manage some of the ongoing relationships between the company and key strategic partners. S/he will build significant new revenue by creatively applying strategies such as resale, integration, bundling, etc. The position presents a unique opportunity to have a significant impact on the vision and business success of a start-up – in a start-up that integrates much of what is new and exciting in the technology, SAS, and telecom industry.

This is a highly visible role. Besides strong sales skills, the position requires a solid business understanding, tactical and strategic thinking, effective communications skills (both oral and written communications), an uncanny ability to validate opportunities and interpret customer needs, and an unwavering drive for success. Integrity is also of the utmost importance. 

Required Skills/Experience

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in high tech industry doing business development.
  • Proven experience and demonstrated ability closing opportunities, managing multiple projects and effectively negotiating deals.
  • Strategic and analytical thinker, able to blend technology vision and business strategy to identify new partner opportunities.
  • Outstanding presentation and interaction skills in formal and informal settings.
  • Ability to quickly understand technical concepts and explain them to others concisely and effectively.
  • Motivated and independent contributor with high energy, enthusiasm, and passion for the business.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast paced and dynamic working environment and build excellent rapport with internal teams; strong teamwork skills is a must.
  • Bachelor degree.
