Senior Java Software Engineer
Description:
Our client is looking for a new member in their core development team. As one of its senior members, you will own several key features. In this role not only is a deep technical understanding required, but also the ability to work with Product Management in order to develop key new features is required.
Our client uses Agile programming techniques, such as test-driven development, uninterrupted integration and testing, and story-based iterative development to build better software. Our client has a work environment that inspires individual initiative, experimentation with new ideas for continuous improvement, and lets great people do excellent work by minimizing the hassles of hierarchy and bureaucracy.
A successful applicant will have a Masters Degree in CS or related engineering degree from a top school. 5+ years of hands-on experience using Java to develop large software products in a team environment
This person must be a self-starter and must be able to function with minimal supervision while working in a multifaceted team environment following Agile processes for software development. Aside from strong overall experience using Java, our client values superb engineering talent more than experience in any specific technology. We are looking for well-rounded engineers with very solid problem-solving skills, passion for taking ownership of features, a desire to be hands-on in writing code, and a commitment to quality.
