Senior Software Engineer - Java UI - San Francisco, CA 

We are a highly profitable, private company in the open source performance software space. Our award winning products are being used to run the largest and most complex data centers in existence. 

Our dynamic, cutting-edge technical team seeks to add a talented Senior Software Engineer to work on Java User Interface development. We are looking for an individual who will bring savvy technical guidance to our development team. This person will advise on the design, development, test and assimilation of a dynamic UI to a system management platform. In addition to having a detailed understanding of Java, the ideal candidate must also be artistic, motivated and eager to join a fast-paced start up environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Take claim of GUI features
  • Perpetuate, evaluate and augment the current feature set, using Ajax to create a dynamic interactive interface.
  • Architect and implement new UI features using AJAX, HTML and CSS
  • Collaborate with server-side developers to back features using Java, Struts, Tapestry and Java Session Beans.
  • Interact with product management to conceive, blueprint, and assimilate upcoming product lines.

Qualifications:

  • BS in CS or related field
  • 5+ years experience developing in AJAX, HTML, CSS, JSP, tags, and Jscript.
  • Proficiency of Java and strong web application development experience is a must.
  • Background using MVC frameworks and OO Java web application frameworks is ideal.
  • Experience using, assessing, and assimilating open source technology is a plus
  • Acquaintance with EJB is a plus
  • Excellent communications skills is a must
