Solution Architect - Redwood City, CA

As a Solution Architect you will play an important role with high visibility within our company and with our customers, partner and prospects.

In this role you will engage your profound expertise and understanding of open-source ecosystems and enterprise search technologies to aid our customers in solving their challenges in the most cost effective way possible. As the Solution Architect you will be charged with overseeing all technical facets of the account relationship, from initial contact to continuous support. The ideal candidate will be hands-on and will have the ability to provide technical leadership to all teams, cross- functionally, involved in the process. This individual must have experience performing in a fast-paced environment and in multiple parallel capacities.

You will be delivering tremendous comprehensive value to our customers. Your job will be to ensure that our customers receive a superb experience through all cycles of the relationship. You will command the process of identifying new opportunities to provide our customers with extended value through multiple engagements. This position requires 25-50% travel.

Qualifications:

  • Expansive knowledge of open and source enterprise search technologies
  • Extensively well-versed in proof of concept and exhibition techniques
  • Background in request for proposal/request for qualification responses with familiarity in the proposal procedure
  • Proven ability to learn new technologies and concepts
  • Acquaintance with Solution Selling Methodologies
  • Solid system engineering abilities
  • Prior experience working in a sales or professional services capacity
  • Experience working with consulting firms is ideal
  • Acquaintance with enterprise search engines and open source search development
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness and flexibility
  • Superb oral and written communication skills
  • Experience in project management

Job responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with prospects to identify and evaluate their overall needs
  • Apply your expertise to create and introduce solutions
  • Correspond with customers for much needed feedback and provide encyclopedic written proposals to motivate prospects
  • Demonstrate your extensive understanding of enterprise search, with particular emphasis in architecture and implementation of Lucene
  • Deliver organized PoC engagements to our customers from beginning to end
  • Design applicable demonstrations that will enhance the solution, to support proposals that will address customer’s needs
  • Take part in select elements of training the customer on the use of enterprise search technologies

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of related experience along side a proven successful track record
