Integration Engineer: E-Commerce/Advertising - Cupertino, CA

We are a small but quickly growing, well funded, startup located here in the Bay Area. We have been in the industry for about 3 years and in that time we have amassed considerable media attention. We offer consumers an alternative way to pay. As it stands we have garnered many relationships with merchants and advertisers alike. 

Due to the exponential growth we have been experiencing of late, we need to add intelligent individuals to our team to aid us on our quest. With that being said, we are looking for a talented individual who will work directly with our merchants and advertisers. This person will assume tasks in several areas (i.e. Pj. Mgmt., Prd. Mgmt., & Support Eng.) The job includes and is not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:

  • Assemble business requirements from our publishers/merchants to create and execute custom, ad campaigns
  • Oversee API integration efforts for our premier advertisement accounts
  • Execute server side engineering requirements using PHP
  • Drive internal requirements for business development, sales, and marketing
  • Manage assorted, simultaneous cross functional projects that may have differing priorities
  • Create and oversee project milestones, keeping internal and external parties informed of changes and progress
  • Collaborate with design and marketing units to create prototypes and demos for prospective customers
  • Sync up with product management and engineering teams to architect frameworks and infrastructures while adhering to costs and timelines

Requirements:

  • Prior management experience (Project or Product preferred)
  • Working knowledge of PHP/HTML or similar languages
  • Background working with MySQL is ideal
  • Experience in online ads, e-commerce, or other media industry
  • Experience in a customer facing capacity
  • Superb communication skills, written and verbal
  • Solid MS Office skills, Excel and PowerPoint in particular
  • Bachelors degree in CS, related field, or equivalent real world experience

Good to haves:

  • Prior experience in web advertising or affiliate programs
  • Demonstrated ability in one or all of the following: JavaScript, MySQL, CSS
  • Vertically relevant personal/side projects
