Business Analyst – BI & Reporting

Our company is revolutionizing the medical world by providing cutting-edge mobile solutions to professionals in the healthcare industry. We are a private, profitable company located in the Bay Area and we were recently ranked in the top 200 fastest growing companies in the country, because of this exponential growth we are looking to expand our team. We are looking for a business analyst, who has experience in BI and Reporting, who will work collaboratively with our business teams to provide them with essential reports and analyses to assist them in making critical decisions and adhering to obligations.

Responsibilities:

  • Supply decision support and services to cross functional teams on how to utilize gathered information to best suit their needs.
  • Diligently address requests, issues, completion timelines, commitments, and status with management and requestor.
  • Design, develop and maintain reports in Oracle BI (OBIEE) 
  • Act as a lead in designing presentation & semantic layers in Oracle BI (OBIEE)
  • Develop and maintain client facing and external reports
  • Provide support in reporting activities (i.e. Financial/fulfillment/royalty reports, usage reports…)
  • Safeguard the quality and consistency of company data and database systems, by adhering to procedure.

Skill Requirements:

  • Solid problem solving, analytical, communication, documentation, teamwork skills is a must. 
  • Unparalleled attention to detail
  • Ability to collaborate with cross functional teams, anticipate business needs, and create process and tools to meet those needs.
  • Strong foundation in data warehouse design concepts, such as star schemas and relational databases
  • Experience with Oracle BI (OBIEE) or Siebel Analytics is a must.
  • Advanced ability in writing Oracle SQL queries and optimizing SQL queries is a must. Experience with PL/SQL is a plus
  • Familiarity with SDLC, including requirements gathering, testing, and documentation
  • Prior experience with MS SQL Server, MS Access and MS Excel is a plus.

Other:

  • Bachelors in CS, or other related field
  • 5+ years experience working in a reporting/business analyst capacity
