Senior Software Developer

Want to work with a large profitable, private company developing enterprise mobile solutions for the healthcare and medical industry? We are looking for an individual who is passionate about making a difference developing solution software to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Web application design, architecture, and implementation.
  • Create exceedingly secure software using Java, Struts, Web Services, Oracle, and J2ee
  • Elucidate business requirements into technical and functional specifications
  • Characterize APIs and work collaboratively with partners to assimilate applications using Web Services.
  • Offer technical assistance and design leadership to other team members
  • Evaluate third-party and open-source technologies
  • Work cross functionally with the DB team to design and develop the DB component (i.e. Stored Procedures and Schema Changes)

Primary Skills and Critical Competencies:
  • Solid experience in Object Oriented coding and design for commercial software products
  • Strong Java and web development background (i.e. JSP, JDBC, Jscript, CSS, Ajax, and Servlets)
  • Web application development experience using Ruby on Rails (HUGE PLUS!)
  • Working knowledge of relational databases and XML concepts is a must
  • Experience with Apache and Tomcat is required
  • Understanding of web services and persistence layer is a huge plus
  • Superb communication skills, both written and verbal is a must
  • Must have excellent work ethic, strong team work skills, and the ability to “hit the ground running” and learn quickly.
